Digital Video Recorders (DVRs) are the best way to record what is happening in and around your home or business. DVR’s work by recording video footage from cameras plugged into them in a compressed video format, usually MPEG4 or in the latest machines, H.264. Each camera needs to be plugged into one channel on the DVR. So a 4-channel DVR can have up to 4 cameras plugged into it, an 8-channel DVR - 8 cameras, and 16-channel DVR - 16-channels.
Trinity CCTV DVRs are very easy to operate by remote control, or mouse, with simple on screen menus that are similar to a Windows PC. The video data from the cameras is saved to the DVR's hard drive for viewing/retrieval later, and once the hard drive is full the DVR will overwrite the oldest data. When you need to find video you have several search options available. You can search by date/time, event (such as motion detection) or manually. Video can be played up to 64x speed or slow motion and can easily be transfered to a USB stick or saved to another PC via the network.
In live view mode you can view a split screen with all your cameras showing, see a full screen, of any one of the cameras or automatically cycle through all cameras. Perfect for monitoring all areas of the building from your office.
All of our DVRs have remote access capability. This means the DVR can be connected to your network or broadband router and accessed over the internet (the DVR will usually require a fixed IP address) allowing you to view all cameras, playback recorded video and change settings.
